其实这个俚语起来自于一个典故，January和May是该故事中的两个人的名字。前者是一位男爵，他在60岁时娶了一个花容月貌的名叫May的年轻女孩。
他们相爱了，所以，January and May也就变成大家调侃的老夫少妻了。
更接地气一点说，就是老牛吃嫩草~
